Wildlife Conservation Jobs – Junior Merchandise Analyst

Job Description:

Junior Merchandise Analyst is responsible to support the management of the retail business at the discretion of their supervisor. Create regular ad-hoc reporting to provide insights into the business. Identify and recommend risks and opportunities to maximize profit and optimize inventory in all WCS store locations. Develop meaningful historical sales recaps in order to make more sound decisions on future seasons.

Job Responsibilities:

• Partner with Buyer to ensure that buys strategy supports trends and opportunities
• Develop strong cross-functional partnerships with Store Managers, buyer and warehouse associates to ensure all parties needs are addressed
• Develop in-season analysis to help guide opportunities to drive top-line sales
• Analyze weekly sales, margin and inventory at each location – make recommendations to drive profit and sales
• Work with team at warehouse to ensure that orders can and will be delivered in a timely manner
• Manage order process for each individual stores ensuring that they consistently are in-stock with top selling items

Job Requirements:

• Ability to build strong working relationships
• Proficient in excel and comprehensive knowledge of retail math
• 2 years experience in retail planning

Qualification & Experience:

• Good communication skills
• Strong data Analytical Skills
• Highly motivated and results oriented: sense of ownership and intellectual curiosity
• Proficient use with data entry, on-line systems
• Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and think critically
