Job Description:
The main responsibility of the Science Writer will be to assist with the scientific writing of grant applications. Applications will generally be written for grants from the NIH, private foundations, and industry. Experience in writing such grant applications is required. This position may also entail assisting with the preparation of manuscripts for publication including revising papers for resubmission.
Job Responsibilities:
- Scientific writing and submitting grant proposals
- Assisting with the writing of manuscripts for publication.
- Formatting manuscripts and references in the correct order for specific journals
Job Requirements:
- Ability to write scientific grants
- Ability to prepare medical manuscripts for publication.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Excellent administrative, organizational, communication, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Power point, Excel).
- Flexibility and demonstrated competence to assess priorities, manage a variety of activities in a complex and fast-paced environment, and ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail and quality.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Masters degree preferred.
