Job Description:

From Boysenberry Festival to Peanuts Celebration, Merry Farm to Scary Farm, Knott’s is looking for talented individuals with knowledgeable hands‑on theatrical techniques and comprehensive skills in Scenic Carpentry and Set Building to join our Production Carpentry Team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
• Strike and properly store all show elements.
• Troubleshoot and repair a variety of basic carpentry issues during daily operations.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
• Operate electric carts, forklifts, mast lifts, scissor lifts, and articulating boom lifts.
• Install, repair, clean, and maintain various stage and theatrical scenic elements for seasonal and permanent shows
• Construct various set elements including but not limited to, 2D cutouts, theater flats, custom scenic pieces, and staging.

Job Requirements:

• Proficiency with hand and power tools required; including worm drive saws, table saws, compound miter saws, powered drills, and pneumatic fasteners.
• Basic knowledge of stage/studio flat construction, erecting, leveling, installing, and building framework.
• At Least 18+
• 1 ‑ 2 Years Related Experience Scenic carpentry, finish carpentry, framing, construction, or rigging

Qualification & Experience:

• Able to use and read a tape measure.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
• Knowledge with CNC routers desired.
• Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and plans.
• Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
