Job Description:
The Regulatory Affairs team is seeking a Rate Analyst for the headquarters in Juno Beach, Florida. This role supports the company’s rate clause recovery and partners with other groups such as Energy Management and Trading, Power Generation, Power Delivery, Rates and Tariffs, Regulatory Accounting and Environmental Services. The ideal candidate has experience analyzing data in a Utility or Regulatory capacity in addition to a degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering. Experience in Accounting or Regulatory Accounting a plus.
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
- Prepares filings, including testimony and minimum filing requirements
- Develops rate structures and prices to meet corporate objectives
- Accounts for cost of service and rate design functional areas (retail, wholesale or adjustment clause)
- Obtains regulatory approval of the rates
Job Requirements:
- Analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
- Written and oral communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines under changing conditions
- Ability to work independently and in team settings
- Excel, Access, Utilities International, CIS
Qualification & Experience:
- Prior experience or knowledge of financial modeling and regulatory accounting
- Working knowledge of utility rate schedules
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience: 3+ years
