Job Description:
Personnel tasked with maintaining equipment and technology used for park attractions. Routine based facility inspections and troubleshooting designed to minimize service interruption on attractions and amenities used by our guest. Preventative and predictive maintenance plans to ensure all attractions will continue to operate.
Job Responsibilities:
- Based on PM reports or identification of failure, repairs will be made at the earliest convenience.
- Routine inspection starting in the morning and continuing every 1-2 hours on a routine until closing.
- Minimize down time for attractions by servicing damaged or predicted to fail parts on attractions. When applicable repairs could happen during operating hours with the attraction closed, the intention is to reopen later in the day.
- Primary role will cover ride and attraction specifics but will also carry over to other department features like; air curtains, drinking fountains, lighting and some A/C conditions.
- Installation of pumps, motors, controls, and other equipment after servicing has been completed. Changes to operating parameters or methods may require complete modification to equipment used on rides, they will assist maintenance manager with installation.
- Inspection and review of daily operating equipment for slides, pump, motors, and mechanical rooms.
- Utilizing inspection reports to establish work orders based on availability to make repairs.
- Based on all other available resources, they could be asked to take on responsibilities of other maintenance personnel, like plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or equipment troubleshooting for the many amenities we offer our guest, to include other department facilities.
Job Requirements:
- Visual acuity to perform an activity such as: operates machines, such as lathes, drill presses, power saws, and mills where the seeing job is at or within arm’s reach; performs mechanical or skilled trades, tasks of a non-repetitive nature, such as carpenter, technicians, service people, plumbers, painters, mechanics, etc.
- Very heavy work. Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, picking, pinching, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motion of the hands, wrists and/or fingers.
Qualification & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid State Driver’s License and provide proof of personal vehicle insurance
- Technical training and certification license a plus (i.e.: journeyman electrician, A/C Tech, journeyman plumber)
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- At least two (2) years of maintenance technician experience
